On behalf of the entire board, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of you to the 2009 season. With an attitude of TEAMWORK, we are going to make this season our most successful to date. Together, I am sure we can accomplish our goal. Change!
That is what you can expect to see this season. As mentioned above, we have already incorporated many positive changes into this year's campaign. We are in our second season of the JR Bears Cheerleading program, which consists of the 6-8th grade players. We understand that nothing supports our players more than having a cheerleading squad rooting for them on the sidelines. With hard work and some organization, we will have the BEST cheering squad on the sidelines. TEAMWORK!
Long overdue, our high school football program was voted to have an additional $9,500added to the athletic budget by the community, bringing the total to $37,500. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of those who flooded our town halls in support of our program. TEAMWORK!
Last but most definitely not least, you will notice a new attitude throughout the ranks. An attitude that we are not only demanding from ourselves, but one we will be expecting from our entire membership. TEAMWORK!
We are an organization with many children involved on a day-to-day basis, a volunteer organization that survives through its membership and hard work. All we expect is that everyone becomes involved and puts in his or her time. It WILL make a difference.
So, as we begin the 2009 season, I would like to once again send my sincerest welcome to all of you. I, as well as all of the board members, are looking forward to working with each and every one of you this coming year. Our expectations are high and together, we can make this a season you will not soon forget. Here's to a fun and successful season!
